Sherwood graduated from NYIT as an Architect and, with his beginnings at an architectural firm, he assisted in the design of gyms for NY Sports Clubs. He subsequently moved into construction, as a construction superintendent renovating the FDA laboratories in Brooklyn. Elevator replacement projects at SUNY Medical Centers and Federal buildings followed, with further experience with unionized construction of Data Centers and Trading Floors for JP Morgan Chase. Sherwood orchestrated large restacking projects in fast-track construction environments where projects required internal structural modifications, communications upgrades, UPS back-up systems, and computer refrigeration. He also has extensive experience in managing construction of Level IV ballistic protection for private bank facilities at Chase and Brinks, and as a non-profit, he collaborated with Catholic Charities, to assemble and lead teams of volunteers to restore homes for New Orleans Katrina Victims.
Sherwood is a member of the American Institute of Architects and continues to specialize in the executive role of interior renovations, while furthering his knowledge through courses in energy conservation, photovoltaics and thermal solar energy. Dealing directly with high profile clientele, he has a formula for maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring that projects are handled flawlessly. More recently Sherwood has expanded his construction expertise into Panama, Mexico, and rest of Latin America by leveraging relationships, managing his clients’ expectations, and using his proficiency in business ethics.
Alberto has more than 35 years of experience in the Architectural, Fire Alarm inspections/design, MEP & Construction Industry. For the first 24 years he was in the US ARMY Reserves, during which he designed, inspected, and managed the construction of many barracks, community facilities, mess halls, classrooms, tank trails & firing ranges for M-50 machine guns in various countries throughout the world. In 1988, while still serving in the US ARMY Reserves, Alberto joined Walter T. Gorman PE PC., initially as a Building Department Expeditor then he was promoted to Project Director and relocated to Rockefeller Center where he was tasked to maintain and develop their multi-million-dollar real estate portfolio.
During his tenure with Rockefeller Center, he was responsible for multiple projects incorporating Architectural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Electrical, Sprinkler, and Fire Alarm systems. These projects extended to a broader clientele base of lease-holders including Radio City Music Hall, Cushman & Wakefield, Chase Manhattan Bank, Morgan Stanley, Restaurant Associates, United Federation of Teachers, United Nations, United Jewish Appeal and Tishman Speyer Properties.
Alberto has a BS in Architecture from City College of Architecture, New York (CCNY), a Military Construction diploma from the United States ARMY Defense Mapping School- Fort Belvoir, VA, as well as various design courses in Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire alarm, Electrical, Management and Construction from New York University (NYU).
Alex originally studied Architecture and Building Systems in Argentina, before moving to New York to work with interior renovation contractors. He was immediately immersed in the creation of luxury custom interiors and was placed in charge of renovating homes for celebrities. He has created plush, 5-star New York City restaurants and meditation centers with huge logistical barriers and difficult site conditions requiring sound attenuation, excavation dewatering, and foundation underpinning work.
Alex is experienced in managing expectations, and requirements of Middle Eastern Royal Families with regard to the appointment of their 15,000 square foot apartments. He understands the lifestyles, security, safety, and fine architectural details required by these demanding projects. In dealing with sub-contractors and vendors, his management style is one of honesty and integrity and as a result, he has created a loyal team of resources. With his skilled approach, every project has been completed on time. There is always a “Plan A, B, and C” to ensure proper execution. With his 30 years of experience, Alex is now applying his management and consulting skills on international projects. His most exceptional talent is the translation of architectural designs into tangible products that leave a legacy of life experiences.
Graham brings extensive expertise in the planning, design and construction of projects for a broad range of market sectors. His 35 years of experience includes management of large-scale capital improvement projects. Areas of technical expertise include civil and structural engineering, as well as a broad knowledge of building systems. He has a strong background in project management, cost modeling, risk management, critical-path-method scheduling, constructability review, sustainable construction, and development permitting.
Graham has managed commercial, industrial and institutional projects throughout the USA, and internationally in India and South Africa. These projects comprise a combined gross floor area of over 12 million square feet with a total present-day construction value in excess of US$4.5 billion.
Graham provides leadership for all technical and construction related activities. His responsibilities include development of initial structural arrangements, project planning and scheduling, establishment of project budgets, risk management, and logistics and procurement advice. He also evaluates and incorporates safety, health, environmental and quality requirements into project scopes.
Graham is a Registered Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional having obtained a BS (Civil Engineering) degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and an MS (Structural Engineering) from Lehigh University.
